John Michael Hunter was born and raised in Monroe, Louisiana. He graduated from Ouachita Parish High School and received a marketing degree from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. John Michael worked at a local hunting store in high school and throughout college. It was there that he built relationships with customers and sales reps who have become lifelong friends.
John Michael is a dedicated outdoorsman and land specialist with professional experience and local knowledge. In addition to real estate, John Michael proudly serves as a captain with the Ouachita Parish Fire Department, where he has served since 2012. His commitment to service, integrity, and hard work has earned him the trust of his community. Since 2021, he has also worked as a leasing agent for one of the largest land leasing companies in the country, helping landowners and hunters connect through recreational hunting leases and land management opportunities.
With a lifelong passion for hunting and outdoor recreation, John Michael specializes in hunting properties and recreational land. His firsthand knowledge of wildlife habitat, hunting opportunities, and land stewardship allows him to share valuable insight with buyers and sellers alike. Whether helping clients find the perfect hunting tract or assisting landowners in maximizing the value of their property, he is committed to delivering exceptional service and results.
John Michael currently resides in West Monroe with his wife, Haley, and their children Olivia, Travis, and John Thomas. They attend Cedar Crest Baptist Church in West Monroe. When he is not serving his community or working with clients, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his family, chasing trophy whitetails with a bow, or trying to outsmart a gobbling turkey.
