Chris Reed was born and raised in Jackson, Mississippi. Upon completion of high school, he attended Hinds Community College and then Delta State University, playing baseball at both schools. In 2005, after graduating from DSU, Chris entered law enforcement and began his career as a Game Warden with the Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks. He worked in the Mississippi Delta for over a decade before relocating to Madison.

Chris spent his childhood chasing whitetails and mallard ducks in the South Delta, forming an enduring passion for the outdoors. The years spent in the outdoors have given him a wide-ranging knowledge of land and the game that calls it home. With almost 20 years of experience serving others in the state by protecting their land, Chris decided to step out and serve in a different capacity by getting his real estate license. He joined the SmallTown Hunting Properties & Real Estate team in the summer of 2023.

“Land is a great investment! It’s an asset you get to enjoy and create lifetime memories on, all while it appreciates in value! I want to be someone my clients can trust and lean on during the buying or selling process.”

Chris and his wife Melanie, along with their daughter Chapman and son Collin, currently live in Madison, MS. They attend Redemption Church in Madison and enjoy spending free time at the baseball fields, volleyball court or church events. The Reed family loves getting away to the Delta, whether it be hunting with friends or visiting family.
