John was born and raised near Lookout Mountain in the small town of Fort Payne, Alabama. He grew up hunting the mountains of Alabama chasing whitetail and those stubborn eastern turkeys.  His passion for the outdoors hit during the teenage years and that’s when he knew his career had to be dedicated to God’s creation.

John always dreamed of owning a big tract of hunting land with the sole purpose committed to the management of wildlife. This led him to wanting to help others live the same dream. Land sales and consulting was a perfect fit. Early in the fall of 2023, John joined SmallTown Hunting Properties & Real Estate. Prior to pursuing a real estate career, John was a full-time, professional retriever trainer for more than 10 years.

John is a man of faith and a proud husband and father. He and his wife Jacey, along with their beautiful little girl Josie, currently rest in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains in Northeast Alabama.  The family attends Wills Valley Community Church.
