Born and raised in Andalusia, Alabama, Kat grew up surrounded by rural landscapes, woods, and a way of life deeply rooted in the outdoors. From an early age, she developed a love for hunting, fishing, and enjoying the land—an upbringing that shaped her passions and career.
Kat brings a hands-on background in hunting, wildlife management, and rural land. As a seasoned hunting guide at Head Farm Hunting Preserve, she spent multiple seasons leading successful whitetail hunts and managing food plots. She also worked with HuntPro, an AI-powered wildlife management platform, analyzing trail camera data to help improve deer population tracking and land-specific management strategies for private landowners.
Today, Kat works with a company in South Alabama, managing hunting leases across 16 states and more than one million acres of land. In this role, she works directly with hunters and landowners, helping connect hunters with quality properties and creating successful leasing opportunities. This experience has given her an even broader understanding of recreational land, wildlife, habitat management, and what hunters and landowners look for in a property.
A graduate of Auburn University with a degree in agriculture, Kat is proud to bring her background and passion for the outdoors to SmallTown Hunting Properties & Real Estate. Her goal is simple: to help others experience the same connection to the land that shaped her life. Whether walking a property line, evaluating a hunting tract, or talking strategy with a buyer, Kat is passionate about serving clients who share her love for the outdoors.
Kat believes there’s nothing more rewarding than helping people find the right piece of land to call their own—where they can build traditions, raise families, pursue the outdoors, and make memories for years to come. After all, it is #TheSmallTownWay.
