Michael Cooper has been an avid outdoorsman and sportsman since childhood. He has a deep affection for being outside and cultivating what the Lord has provided generation after generation. Combining all that he loves and values – Michael knew The SmallTown Way was the perfect fit for him.
While at Mississippi State University, Michael pursued his interests of land management and animal science by earning a degree in Biological Sciences. After graduation, Michael began working for the United States Forest Service maintaining National Forests. He has also served as a wildland firefighter in the western United States and Alaska.
Originally from Ackerman, MS, Michael and his wife Lauren Ann, currently reside just outside of Starkville with their sons, Rhett and Westin. They enjoy spending time attending church, hunting, fishing and playing baseball. Michael and Lauren Ann own the retail store LA Green in downtown Starkville and in other locations across the south.
