Michael Oswalt was born and raised in the Mississippi Delta…Cleveland, to be exact. After completing high school, he spent two years at Mississippi Delta Community College before he transferred to Delta State University. In 2006, Michael graduated from DSU with a major in Real Estate and Insurance and a minor in Business Administration. In the same year, he obtained his real estate license. Early in 2007, Michael moved to Jackson, MS to begin his career as a Real Estate Broker and Appraiser. Michael has proven himself to be a leader in the real estate community, not only locally, but throughout the state of Mississippi and into Arkansas. In 2022, Michael became the Principal Broker/Co-Owner of SmallTown Hunting Properties and Real Estate. The following year, he earned the prestigious Accredited Land Consultant designation from the Realtor Land Institute. Michael specializes in most all types of land: Recreational, Timberland, Farmland, Equity Shares, Commercial Land, Homes with Acreage, and Lake Houses. He is actively working around the Mississippi and Arkansas Deltas and is highly focused on Central to North Mississippi in general.

Michael and his wife Elisa, their sons Fin and Fisher, and their dog, Ruger, reside in Madison, Mississippi. They currently attend Pinelake Church in Gluckstadt. Michael’s family truly enjoys all aspects of the outdoors, from boating to hiking to fishing and hunting. They also enjoy spending time at their recreational farms in Mississippi, relaxing at their family’s cabin on the Mississippi River while catching up with childhood friends in the MS Delta, and attending sporting events at Ole Miss.

Growing up in the Delta helped Michael to learn and utilize the land around him. Having hunted nearly every region in Central to North Mississippi, Michael has the knowledge needed to get you the most out of your selling and buying experience. His enthusiasm and love for the outdoors makes him that much more dedicated to his career.
