Salesperson, Land Specialist
Born in Memphis and raised in rural Fayette County, Payton has been an outdoorsman from the beginning. Growing up deer hunting and catching catfish with his dad and granddad, Payton has developed a strong passion and appreciation for the outdoors. While being homeschooled, Payton and his brother Avery competed in rodeos throughout the Southeast, and today, Payton helps his brother work cattle at their family farm near Somerville, Tennessee.
Payton attended Union University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in criminal justice. While in college, Payton became a volunteer firefighter and EMT with the Fayette County Fire Department, where he still serves. After graduating college, Payton briefly worked in law enforcement before moving back to Fayette County and starting a drone service company, SKYMAX Aerial Services LLC.
Payton’s interest in real estate grew out of his love for the outdoors. He wanted a career where he could help people in meaningful ways all while experiencing the wonders of God’s creation. In the spring of 2026, Payton joined SmallTown Hunting Properties & Real Estate with hopes of helping others find their dream property.
Payton resides just outside of Somerville and is an active member of Fayette Baptist Church.
