Pierce Henry

Land Specialist

Pierce Henry is a Mississippi man through and through. Although a short stretch of his childhood was spent in Macon, Georgia, Mississippi has always been home for him. After graduating from Mooreville High School, Pierce found a love for aviation and moved to Calhoun City, where he earned his pilot’s license and spent several years working in agriculture. Those years taught him about hard work, responsibility, and taking care of the land.

After four years of learning both the dirt and the skies, Pierce felt a calling into student ministry and stepped into a role at First Baptist Church of Vardaman, where he still serves today.

Pierce still lives in Calhoun City and spends much of his winters in West Point guiding quail hunts. When out in the field, he has two companions, Lady, his English Cocker Spaniel, and Millie, his GSP.

With the help of his father and grandfather, Pierce has always been drawn to the outdoors. He doesn’t recall life without the outdoors…from cold mornings chasing deer along the Big Black River to watching a bird dog lock up on point to the alarm clock of a longbeard on a limb. Growing up blessed with family land in Vicksburg helped shape his appreciation for wildlife and land management. Over time, that appreciation grew into a passion for helping land reach its full potential—whether through timber, wildlife habitat, crops, soil, or a place to build a home. Pierce shares, “The only thing they don’t make more of is land—let me help you be a good steward of yours!”

In the fall of 2021, Pierce married his high school sweetheart, Sara Taylor. Roughly four years later, they welcomed their son, Odie. Watching him grow each day is one of Pierce’s greatest joys! When not in the woods, you can find Pierce spending time with his family. Colossians 2:6
