Steve Martens is a lifelong native of the Jackson, MS area. He graduated from Jackson Prep and then earned a degree from the University of Mississippi in Finance and Real Estate. Since 2014, Steve has been in the real estate industry serving clients and developing land to its full potential. During this time, he has been recognized as a leader by his peers, the Realtor Land Institute, and by Real Producers Magazine, among others. Prior to his career in real estate, he spent approximately 20 years in the commercial insurance industry as a partner in his firm.
During these same years, Steve bought and sold many properties all across Mississippi and as a realtor has assisted many clients in realizing their goals of buying or selling land. He has always been an avid outdoorsman, but he also has a great passion and pride for land ownership. He has spent countless hours planning and developing various properties to reach their full potential. It is with great love for land, outdoors, hunting, and fishing that he has turned his own dreams into reality. Steve currently owns land in various parts of the state including a large river bottom paradise in Desoto County. Steve shares “Long ago my grandfather told me, as long as you own land you will never be broke”.
Steve, and his wife Gena Hood Martens of Clarksdale, have been married since 2001 and currently reside in Canton. Their daughter Emma Lane attends the University of Mississippi.
Steve Martens, has been named as our Director of Brokerage Development. While Steve will continue to sell real estate and service clients, he will also be an instrumental part in the development and growth of our company. As the Director of Brokerage Development, Steve's primary role will be the expansion and addition of agents/brokers across the country.
